Transshipment volumes of wheat and barley at Ukrainian seaports almost halved in December

According to the monitoring conducted by APK-Inform Agency, in the period from December 1 to December 31, 5.8 million tons of main grain crops were shipped for export by Ukrainian seaports, which is 14.1% lower than in November 2021 (6.8 million tons subject to data updates). In December this year, 1.2 million tons of wheat were shipped, which is 1.9 times less than the volume a month earlier. The volumes of corn transshipment in the ports increased by 8.5% compared to November of this year and amounted to 4.4 million tons. Export shipments of barley decreased to 0.24 million tons, which is 1.9 times less than in November. The key destination for shipment of wheat in December is Turkey with a volume of 197.4 thousand tons.
