According to statistics from the Customs of that country, in September China imported 315,800 tons. "It is an unprecedented monthly volume and represents an increase of 45% compared to the volume recorded twelve months ago. As for prices, the average value of what was imported in the last month reached 5,509 dollars, which implies an interannual increase of 17% and the highest level since June 2023," said analyst from Rosgan María Julia Aiassa. She then added: "With this latest record, China accumulates in the first nine months of the year a new historical record of purchases, with 2,125 million tons, slightly exceeding last year's records.
