Turkey led the world in dried fruit exports in 2022, with a total of 500 thousand tons, generating an income of $1.573 billion. The report highlighted success in exporting seedless raisins, dried apricots, and dried figs. Mehmet Ali Işık, the President of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters' Association, announced a successful export year and emphasized the exporters' commitment to food security and protection of cultivated lands. The association is also working towards increasing domestic consumption of dried fruits.
