Turkey's honey exports increased by 75 percent in the first half of the year

According to the information compiled from the data of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters' Association (DKİB), 8,892 tons of honey were exported to 46 countries in the January-June 2022 period. A revenue of 23 million 829 thousand 670 dollars was obtained from this export. Accordingly, the first 6-month exports increased by 134 percent in quantity and 75 percent in value compared to the same period of 2021, which generated 13 million 597 thousand 813 dollars in return for 3 thousand 800 tons of honey. The USA, Germany and Spain were the countries with the highest exports. The USA ranked first in honey exports with 7 million 904 thousand 362 dollars. This country was followed by Germany with 3 million 640 thousand 94 dollars and Spain with 3 million 378 thousand 193 dollars. Turkey also sold honey to different Slovenia, Peru, Maldives Islands, Denmark, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Barbados, Mauritania, Liberia, Bangladesh, North Macedonia, Taiwan and Portugal from the same period last year. ...
