Turkey's world leader in dried figs, raisins and dried apricot exports exceeded 1 billion dollars

Seedless raisin exports, which started the 2022/23 season on September 1, 2022, reached 110 countries and totaled 426 million dollars. Raisin exports increased by 2 percent on quantity basis and reached 251 thousand tons. Between August 1, 2022 and July 31, 2023, a total of 80,000 tons of dried apricots were earned, with an acceleration of 16 percent, and 435 million dollars of foreign currency income was obtained. Dried apricots, which were exported for 4 thousand 641 dollars in the 2021/22 season, found a buyer for 5 thousand 403 dollars in the 2022/23 period. Turkey, from October 7, 2022 to August 19, 2023, exported a total of 67 thousand 713 tons of dried figs to 121 countries, bringing its exports to a total of 241 million dollars. While dried fig exports increased by 6 percent on quantity basis, it increased by 2 percent on value basis.
