The President of the Istanbul Exporters Association, Muzaffer Taviloglu, has revealed plans to diversify Turkish hazelnut exports, focusing on markets in India and China, in addition to the current 70% export volume to EU countries and Switzerland. Despite challenges such as the energy crisis and recession in Europe, the association expects to export 300-310 thousand tons of hazelnut kernels. Taviloglu also stressed the potential for attracting foreign investment in walnut processing and increasing added value.
