In September, Ukraine broke its record for monthly rapeseed oil exports – 108,800 tons, according to data from analysts at the online publication APK-Inform. They attribute the growth in exports last month to the increased processing of rapeseed following the introduction of an export duty on the oilseed crop on September 4. Facing uncertainty, many Ukrainian farmers decided to sell their harvested rapeseed on the domestic market, which led to an increase in the load on processing capacities, especially against the backdrop of insufficient sunflower supply. Compared to August this year, the export of rapeseed oil from Ukraine jumped 4.5 times.
