The European Union has reported the exhaustion of the quota for the supply of powdered milk from Ukraine, but butter exporters can still sell it.

As of August 1, 2025, the possibility of exporting powdered milk from Ukraine to the EU within the quota has already ended. This was reported by the Association of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine, according to Economic Truth. As of August 1, the possibility of carrying out export deliveries of powdered milk originating from Ukraine to the EU within the quotas is absent. According to the European Commission, as of July 30, the quota (taking into account the volumes expected to be distributed) was filled by more than 91% — the free remainder was only about 0.28 thousand tons — with a quota of 2.92 thousand tons. The volumes of powdered milk that are already expected to be cleared at the EU border exceed the available quota balance. As of August 1, there is no longer any economic sense in sending consignments of powdered milk in the direction of the EU — they will have to be returned.
