Ukraine is ready for maximum openness and providing additional guarantees to Moldova regarding the quality and safety of products. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Oleksiy Sobolev. Sobolev held an online meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova and the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA). The parties discussed cooperation in the agricultural sector between the countries. In particular, they talked about the situation with the export of Ukrainian poultry to Moldova. Moldova is an important market for Ukrainian poultry: last year, the volume of exports to this country amounted to 18.4 thousand tons worth $32.7 million. At the same time, the temporary suspension of imports needs to be resolved as soon as possible. During the meeting, the Ukrainian side and Moldovan representatives agreed to work out the issue of strengthening the inspection control of Ukrainian poultry exporters. ...
