In the first half of the 2025/26 marketing year, Romania became Germany’s largest rapeseed supplier, replacing Ukraine. Germany imported about 3.1 million tons of rapeseed, with Romania supplying 873.4 thousand tons. Ukrainian exports fell 39% to 752.5 thousand tons, partly due to export duties. France, the Netherlands, and Canada increased their shipments, while other suppliers saw declines. Despite higher domestic harvests, Germany remains the EU’s largest net rapeseed importer, exporting relatively modest volumes.
