Most Ukrainian tomato greenhouse production announced the end of tomato sales this week. The data was released by analysts of the EastFuit project. So far, local greenhouses have sold what's left, and others have simply stopped selling, to prepare for the vegetable's new season. As a result, the supply of tomatoes in the market has decreased and prices are consequently higher. The price of greenhouse-grown tomatoes is trading 11% higher than the previous week. Due to the low number of the product on the market, the sales price also increases, as the demand for tomatoes is high in the country. Traders claim that they have not been able to compensate for the lack of local tomatoes with imported ones, which come from Turkey, as the volume is still small.
