The agrometeorological conditions at the beginning of October for soil preparation for sowing and planting winter grain crops in most areas were mixed. This opinion was expressed by agrometeorologists from the Ukrhydrometeorological Center in their decadal report, writes APK-Inform. Indeed, the experts noted that due to significant rainfall observed throughout the decade, there was replenishment of productive moisture in almost all soil layers, which contributed to the germination of grain and the emergence of winter crops. However, in areas with excessive precipitation in some parts of the western and adjacent central regions (including in places in the Odesa region), frequent rains led to waterlogging of the arable soil layer, which was unfavorable for field operations.
