Spain: UPA Córdoba warns of reckless decreases by some dairy industries to bring down goat milk prices

Livestock farmers remember that the price must be adjusted from origin to destination, and not the other way around. Certain Industries are reluctant to abandon abusive practices that have caused great damage to the food chain in our country. Goat milk is once again the subject of practices that have been shown to be abusive, such as recklessly lowering the price, ignoring the production costs of the product. The Union of Small Farmers and Ranchers of Córdoba denounces that some industries are forcing decreases in the price of milk, engaging in behavior pursued by the Food Chain Law, which clearly establishes that the price of food must be determined from origin to destination, and never the other way around. According to UPA calculations, the production costs of a liter of goat milk are currently around 0.75 euros/liter.
