UPOA: Imports of exotic fruits to Ukraine increased by 23%

In the second part of this material, UPOA examines how the supply of exotic fruits has changed over the year. In the structure of imports of fruits, berries and nuts, the main part is occupied by such positions as citrus fruits and bananas, which account for 39% and 29%, respectively, of the total import of fresh fruit and berry products. For 6 months of 2020, Ukraine imported 181.7 thousand tons of citrus fruits with a total value of $ 129.3 million. For comparison, a year earlier, the same indicators were 169.7 thousand tons and $ 101.9 million, respectively. Foreign purchases of bananas have also increased compared to the previous season.
