Uruguay has imposed anti-dumping duties on Argentine soybean expeller due to findings of dumping practices, harming local production and competition. The investigation revealed a dumping margin of 113.9% for the period October 2021-September 2022, with Argentine producers selling the product at a fraction of the local price. These duties will be in effect for three years, with a fixed duty of US$215 per ton for those who dumped. Producers or exporters not involved in the dumping can seek protection under article 107 of decree 142/996.
