The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) has held a training session in Morocco to promote the potential of the country's aquaculture industry, particularly in tilapia production. The event, held in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, highlighted the benefits of using U.S. feed ingredients, including distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS), in aquaculture feed. The USGC believes that the use of DDGS can help Moroccan aquaculture entrepreneurs increase yields and compete effectively in the market. The USGC also stressed the importance of modern farming techniques and genetic selection of high-quality fish for sustainable production of affordable animal protein in Africa.
