Soybean futures were under pressure due to large global inventories. Soybean futures declined on Friday: prices for the nearest month fell by 3-4.5 cents, while January futures rose by 9.5 cents. The average price for soybeans across the country increased by 4 cents to $9.88 1/2. Soybean meal futures decreased by 50 cents to 1 dollar per ton, while January futures showed a growth of $6.10 per week. Soybean oil futures decreased by 30-35 points, while January futures increased by 82 points over the week. Government agencies reported almost nothing, postponing the publication of reports due to a declared holiday on Friday. The next data on export sales for the week ending December 18 will be published on Wednesday. The reduction in trading volumes also limited transportation movement at the end of the week.
