A $39.5 million project, part of the Feed the Future Ghana Market Systems and Resilience (MSR) Activity, aims to benefit 200,000 farmers in Northern, North East, Upper West and Upper East regions by boosting 12 crop value chains and improving commercial relations. A significant aspect of this initiative is the innovative finance grant window, which has received 185 applications and has processed 108, aiming to reduce lending costs and improve financial service liquidity. This grant is open to commercial and rural banks, microfinance institutions, and non-bank financial institutions, with a focus on providing incentives for increased financial access to small and medium enterprises. The MSR Activity, led by ACDI/VOCA, hopes to enhance agricultural-led economic growth, address food security, and combat poverty through these financial and support services.
