In 2023, global beef production is predicted to slightly decrease due to a decline in the US and EU, while China, Brazil, and Australia will see an increase. Global beef exports are also anticipated to drop by 1.2% due to reduced demand, especially from China. Pork production is expected to rise by 1% worldwide, primarily in China, but global pork exports are forecasted to decline due to decreased import demand from China. Chicken meat production is projected to increase by 1.8% globally, driven by strong demand for lower-cost animal proteins, and global chicken exports are expected to rise by 3.7%. Brazil is expected to be the top exporter, accounting for over a third of global exports, as its main competitors struggle to increase exportable supply.
