Vietnam is occupying a unique position to supply cashew nuts to China

Vietnam's cashew exports have reached a value of over 3 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2022 thanks to purchasing power from the US and Chinese markets. Specifically, according to a report by the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Vietnam's cashew exports in November 2022 reached 80,000 tons, worth $458 million, up 80.6% in volume and 72 percent. 4% in value compared to October 2022, up 58.1% in volume and 39.1% in value compared to November 2021. In the first 11 months of 2022, Vietnam's cashew exports are estimated at 505,000 tons, worth over 3 billion USD, down 5.0% in volume and 10.1% in value over the same period in 2021. In November 2022, the average export price of Vietnam's cashew nuts was estimated at $5,724 per ton, down 4.5% compared to October 2022 and down 12% compared to November 2021. Accumulated in 11 months of 2022, the average export price of Vietnam's cashew nuts is estimated at 5,948 USD/ton, down 5.4% over the same period in 2021. ...
