The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (VinaFruit) has reported a decrease in the preliminary value of fruit and vegetable exports in March 2025 and the first quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2024, with a total value of nearly 421 million USD and over 1.1 million USD respectively. The decline is largely due to difficulties in exporting durian to China, which is the main export market, due to new regulations on Cadmium and Yellow O residues. Other export markets like the US, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand are showing increased export value and market share in the first two months of 2025.
