In the first six months of 2025, Vietnam's total fruit and vegetable exports to the EU market reached $233.2 million, a 44.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Except for durian and longan, the export volume of most varieties to the EU market increased by two to three digits compared to the same period in 2024.
Passion fruit was the largest export product to the EU market in the first six months of 2025, reaching $58.59 million, a 112.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, accounting for 25.1% of the total fruit and vegetable exports to that market.

One of the key factors promoting Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to the EU market in the first half of 2025 was the tariff benefits brought by the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). On the other hand, consumer demand in the EU is recovering strongly, and thanks to improved quality, Vietnam's fruits and vegetables are increasingly favored by EU consumers. Additionally, due to weather conditions, fruit production in some EU member countries has declined, leading to an increasing reliance on imported supplies, including those from Vietnam.
