The wheat market in the Southern Region of Brazil maintains a slow pace of negotiations, influenced by logistical, seasonal factors, and the priority of producers on other crops, such as soybeans and corn. According to analyses by TF Agroeconômica, prices remain sustained despite the low liquidity. In Rio Grande do Sul, negotiations continue to be punctual, with sellers being little active and mills withdrawn. The high cost of freight, varying between R$ 1,200 and R$ 1,250 in the interior, has limited new business. There are records of operations at R$ 1,300 CIF for May, with early payment, while producers ask for up to R$ 1,350, maintaining the reduced volume. In the external scenario, Argentine wheat has recently stopped being offered, although there is a forecast of arrival of shipments from Uruguay in Porto Alegre.
