The wheat market presented a slow pace in the main producing states of the South, with negotiations weakened by the end-of-year period and the cautious stance of buyers. According to TF Agroeconômica, in Rio Grande do Sul, negotiations were practically suspended, given the possibility of mills closing next week for cleaning and collective vacations. With this, the year is heading towards the end with an estimated volume of 1.55 million tons of new crop already negotiated, among local mills, buyers from other states, feed, and export, which represents between 42% and 44% of the production. Prices in the state remained at reference levels, between R$ 1,100 and R$ 1,150 per ton at local mills. At the port, wheat for milling was indicated at R$ 1,180 for December and R$ 1,190 for January, while wheat for feed varied from R$ 1,120 to R$ 1,130.
