Besides the traditional jelly and marzipan flavors, more and more sweets with special, premium fillings are now part of the holiday offerings. Buyers are making more conscious choices, and they are increasingly looking for quality and interesting flavors. Meanwhile, rising raw material costs and seasonal trends are significantly shaping the market. Hungarians buy 3000-3500 tons of sugared almonds annually, and although the quantity is stable, the composition of the demand is changing rapidly. According to the National Chamber of Agriculture and the Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers' Association, the demand for products made from quality raw materials at a good price-to-value ratio is increasing.
