Poultry farmers in Morocco are currently facing significant losses due to a sharp decrease in the price of chicken meat in the market. The current price is 19 DH/kg, which is 3 dirhams lower than the previous price. This decline is attributed to consumers' reduced purchasing power and overproduction due to previous price hikes. The secretariat general of the Moroccan Association of Poultry Breeders, Said Janah, stated that poultry farmers are suffering losses of 4.50 to 5 DH per kilo due to the price gap between the farm and the Casablanca wholesale market.
