According to Taras Bashtannik, difficult weather conditions influenced the quality of the products and, as a result, their ability to maintain quality in the future. “The third factor is the rise in prices for all components of vegetable production, which, by the way, will continue to rise in price. We are talking about electricity, fertilizers, plant protection products, fuels and lubricants, etc. All this, together with a smaller gross harvest, led to an increase in prices for products not only of borsch set, but also of other types of vegetables, ”the UPAA president notes. An important point, according to the expert, is also the rise in the cost of global logistics services, both land and sea.
