As of October 21, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have sown winter crops on 4,833.9 thousand hectares, which constitutes 74.0% of the projected areas.

Among the leaders in the sowing of grain crops are the Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad regions. At the same time, the Poltava and Ternopil regions have already completed sowing.
The largest areas of winter rapeseed have been sown in the Vinnytsia, Odesa, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Farmers in 13 regions have completed its sowing.
Heavy rainfall across Ukraine is improving the conditions for seed germination and crop development, which will positively affect the markets and reduce speculative pressure on the prices of the new harvest.
