Wisconsin farmers have been taking advantage of the dry weather to harvest small grains, hay, and begin the potato harvest. The corn harvest is progressing well, with 40% already silked and 61% rated as good to excellent. Soybeans are also blooming and setting pods, albeit slightly behind average. Oat harvest is also underway, with 12% already harvested and 78% rated as good to excellent. The winter wheat harvest is also progressing ahead of average. The potato crop condition has improved, with 89% rated as good to excellent. Pasture and range land, as well as the condition of the second crop of alfalfa hay, have also seen improvement.
