The World Apricot Trade Center, located in Malatya, a city that produces most of the world's dried apricots, is set to open next month with 1000 workplaces, cold storages, conference facilities, and other amenities. The center aims to increase the commercial value of apricots and revitalize the economy following earthquake damage. It is expected to generate more revenue from the $5 billion dried apricot market. The construction of the center and a licensed warehouse adjacent to it cost over 5 billion liras.
