A virtual seminar, Poultry Indonesia Forum 7th edition, was held to address the challenges posed by increased feed prices in the poultry industry, attributed to higher costs of imported feed ingredients. The government is subsidizing import duties and VAT, and conducting research for alternative feed ingredients to reduce dependence on imports. The seminar also highlighted the need for transparency in feed prices and corn purchases by feed mills. The poultry industry and feed factories were encouraged to improve competitiveness and develop feed formulations with alternative ingredients. The use of protease enzymes in feed was suggested as an alternative solution to optimize the nutritional value of feed ingredients and reduce production costs during increased feed prices.
