Breeders say the price of chickens in Indonesia is the most expensive in the world

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Chicken farmers have revealed that the price of day old chicken (DOC) in Indonesia is the most expensive in the world. This was conveyed by Wayan, a breeder of broiler chickens from Bogor, who was present at the Poultry Association's Public Hearing Meeting (RDPU) with Commission IV DPR RI in Jakarta, Monday (18/9/2023). The meeting was attended by representatives of domestic poultry breeder associations, including PINSAR and the National Association of Chicken Breeders Organizations (GOPAN). These two associations are said to oversee around 70 thousand chicken breeders in the country.
