Yangling direct to Moscow: Over 40 tons of pomegranates and kiwifruit, traveling on the China-Europe freight train to Russia

Published 2025년 10월 11일

Tridge summary

During the National Day holiday, a Central Europe freight train loaded with fresh produce departed from Xi'an International Port Station, heading to Moscow, Russia. It included a container of 20 tons of black-seeded sour pomegranates from Huili, Sichuan, and a container of 22.4 tons of Hayward kiwifruits from Zhouzhi, Xi'an.

This is the first time that Yangling Guohe Cross-border Trade Co., Ltd., a company within the Yangling Demonstration Zone, has adopted a railway cold chain transportation method to directly deliver fresh fruits to the Russian market.

It was introduced that in the past, fresh produce exports mainly relied on road transport, and after the goods reached the border port, they needed to be transshipped, making it difficult to maintain the temperature, and the transportation time was long. This time, a full-process railway cold chain transportation model was adopted. The train departed from Xi'an, passed through Manzhouli Port to exit the country, and directly reached the Vorsino Station in Moscow.

The fully automatic refrigerated containers on board have constant temperature and humidity functions. During cross-border transshipment, only the entire container needs to be hoisted, and the environment inside the container is not affected in any way. Compared with the previous road transport mode, railway transportation is less affected by weather and road conditions, has a higher unit transport capacity, and lower overall costs.

Once these goods arrive in Moscow, they will be received and distributed by Yangling Guohe's subsidiary in Russia, Chunshan Meng Co., Ltd.
