According to the report, "prices remain unfavorable, averaging R$ 14.00 per arroba at the industry's door," with no expectation of improvement. In the Passo Fundo region, negotiations are advancing for the receipt of the registration certificate of the Geographical Indication (GI) Yerba Mate Region of Machadinho, expected for the second half of November. The document will be delivered by the National Institute of Industrial Property to the Association of Yerba Mate Producers of Machadinho, configuring the first GI of the sector in the State.
