As of February 18, 2024, global pepper prices remained stable. Indonesian Lampung black pepper and Muntok white pepper were priced at 3,906 USD/ton and 6,159 USD/ton respectively. Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black and white pepper were priced at 4,900 USD/ton and 7,300 USD/ton respectively. Brazil's ASTA 570 black pepper was priced at 3,270 USD/ton. In Vietnam, black pepper grades 500 and 550 g/l were priced at 3,900 and 4,000 USD/ton respectively, and white pepper at 5,700 USD/ton. Domestic prices in Vietnam increased by 500 VND, ranging from 83,000 to 86,000 VND/kg, due to climate change effects reducing productivity and limiting supply.
