Peruvian garlic exports experienced a significant growth in 2023, reaching 17 countries with a total of 18,719 tons worth $32 million. This marked a 13% increase in volume and 34% rise in value. The price of fresh garlic also rose by 19% to $1.69 per kilogram. The United States, Mexico, and Ecuador were the primary importers of Peruvian garlic, with the United States showing a remarkable growth of 130% in volume and 158% in value.
