In W31 in the oats landscape, unfavorable wet weather in the United Kingdom (UK) has delayed the start of the 2023 harvest, with progress falling behind the five-year average, as reported by the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board (AHDB) on July 31. Only minimal areas of winter wheat, spring barley, and oats have been harvested, primarily in the southern regions. In Saratov, Russia, farmers have harvested 1.8 million metric tons (mmt) of grain from 61.7 thousand hectares (ha) of spring crops, including 2.7 thousand mt of oats. The Amur Region is also in the process of harvesting, focusing on early grain crops, including oats, with an area of 21 thousand ha. In Poland, consumer oats are purchased at USD 201.68/mt, which is 1% lower week-on-week (WoW) but 1% higher month-on-month (MoM). However, the price is 38.5% cheaper than the previous year's price of USD 245.34/mt.
