In W32 in the honey landscape, honey production in Turkey is declining due to climate change's impact on vegetation. To counter this, the Beekeeping Training and Queen Bee Production Center, set up by the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, is training beekeepers to create alternative products like queen bees, royal jelly, pollen, propolis, and bee venom. Training is held in the Gölmarmara district center, where around 1,500 queen bees have already been distributed to producers. This center addresses the decreasing honey yield caused by climate change, extreme temperatures, and forest fires and offers training for alternative beekeeping products.

In June, China's bee product exports amounted to USD 23 million, marking a 26.47% year-on-year (YoY) decrease, with an export volume of 10,500 metric tons (mt), down by 25.16% YoY. Over the first six months of the year, China's total bee product exports totaled USD 173 million, down by 14.68% YoY, with an export volume of 81,900 mt, showing an 8.57% YoY decrease. The main destinations for these exports were Japan, the United Kingdom (UK), Belgium, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Australia, the United States (US), Germany, and the Netherlands, jointly constituting 30% of China's bee product export volume.

The South Korea Beekeeping Association conducted its 2023 3rd regular board of directors meeting on August 8. One significant issue discussed was the adverse impact of duty-free honey imports from Vietnam on the domestic beekeeping industry. This move exacerbates an already troubled industry and endangers beekeepers' livelihoods. The association urged urgent action to address this concern. Additionally, there is a looming threat of significant damage due to Typhoon Kanun, which is currently heading north toward the country.

Lastly, in Ukraine, the price of honey has risen by 3 to 12% over the past year. In supermarkets, a liter of seasonal honey is priced at an average of USD 5.14-7.58 in W32.
