In W39 in the mango landscape, in the United States (US) import market, Mexican Tommy Atkins mango prices have remained stable at USD 1.69 per kilogram (kg) since August due to an abundance of high-quality fruit from Mexico. However, prices may rise as the Mexican mango season concludes in October. In India, mango prices dropped to USD 0.61/kg in September after earlier increases resulting from weather-related crop damage. Prices may experience a slight increase in October due to sustained high demand. In Spain, mango prices remained steady in September, with an average price of USD 0.72 to 1.5/kg, recovering from a 34% drop in August attributed to reduced local production caused by droughts. Prices may rise in October with increased imports and lower local supply.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) reported that Brazilian fruits, including mangoes, are gaining increasing importance in domestic and international markets. In the first half of 2023, lemons, limes, melons, and mangoes were the top-performing fruits, with mangoes generating USD 68.4 million in export revenue. Projections until 2032/33 indicate significant growth in mango production, with an expected increase of 22.9%.

Peru's mango industry faces unprecedented challenges in the upcoming 2023/24 season due to the adverse effects of El Niño and Cyclone Yaku. These unexpected weather phenomena have disrupted mango flowering, potentially leading to an 80% drop in export volumes. Traditional indicators in mango cultivation have proven insufficient to address these challenges. Piura, a key mango production region, is expected to experience a 70% reduction in production, having significant implications for local communities and international markets and impacting major destinations for Peruvian mangoes.

Lastly, in the wholesale market of Obour City, Egypt, Owais mangoes stood at USD 0.87 to 1.39 per pound (EGP 27 to 43/lb), Indian mangoes priced at USD 0.65 to 1.10/lb (EGP 20 to 34/lb), and domestic mangoes stood at USD /lb (EGP 10 to 20/lb).
