In W41 in the cherry landscape, Chile's Ministry of Agriculture delegation visited Vietnam to discuss the entry of Chilean cherries into the Vietnamese market. They also explored opportunities for Vietnamese mangoes, kiwis, and passion fruit to enter the Chilean market. A pilot program to export fresh cherries to Vietnam was discussed. Chile has seen substantial growth in fruit exports to Vietnam, especially in cherry exports that are expected to double this season.

Moreover, the Chilean cherry industry is poised for a potential record-breaking season with export estimates of 90 to 100 million cartons, exceeding the previous season's 83 million cartons. This growth is driven by an impressive 29% annual average growth rate over the past seven years, primarily attributed to newly planted areas. The Chilean cherry industry plans to increase marketing spending by 13%, focusing on expanding existing markets, especially in China and the United States, and exploring new opportunities.

In Turkey, sour cherry prices in W40 and W41 kept fluctuating. Currently, high-quality sour cherries cost USD 2 per kilogram (kg). Few sour cherries are available in Turkey each week, so buyers are looking for cheaper options. In Serbia, current sour cherry prices range from USD 1.50 to USD 1.60/kg, and since there is no customs tax between Serbia and Turkey, some imports have already taken place and are continuing.
