Ukrainian egg prices are predicted to reach USD 2.06/dozen by the upcoming New Year's holidays, similar to 2022's level, and are unlikely to exceed this limit due to limited purchasing power by consumers. With egg production being higher in warm months and lower in cold ones, seasonal factors play a role. Fuel and electricity costs also affect prices. Moreover, the National Bank's shift to a flexible exchange rate for the hryvnia is expected to influence egg prices by increasing the cost of foreign currency for equipment, veterinary drugs, feed additives, and young animals. Notably, in early 2022, the price of 10 eggs was approximately USD 0.96.
