Fresh Chilean Atlantic Salmon Fillet Prices Rose for the Fifth Consecutive Week in the US Market

At the end of W1, 2024, prices for fresh Chilean Atlantic salmon fillets in the United States (US) market increased again, this time by 4.4% week-on-week (WoW). Prices reached USD 5.95 to 6.10 per pound (lb) for 2/3 lb fillets and USD 6.05 to 6.20/lb for 3/4 lb fillets (FOB Miami). The price increase was due to a lower supply from Chile due to a loss of processing days due to the New Year holidays and a more active demand.
