Hong Kong started importing frozen chicken from Vietnam in 2020

Published May 12, 2021
Hong Kong has been the third-largest importer of frozen chicken (chicken cuts and edible offal) in the world for 5 consecutive years. Hong Kong imported most of its frozen chicken from the US, Brazil and other European countries before 2020, while Vietnam remained a small supplier of the commodity. However, the production volume of chicken in Vietnam has been rising, signalling that the country is able to step up and export larger volumes of the product outside of the country.
