Mexico and Peru dominate the global market, while the expansion aside from Europe and North America is more rapid. In East Asia, there is also an on-going swift for the imports. China is switching from Mexico to Peru, while Japan is shrinking their imports from US then relying more on Mexico. Big importers in Europe including Spain and Netherlands are sourcing less avocados from Africa, mostly from Kenya and South Africa.
