Spanish avocado prices skyrocketed in 2021, especially for the Hass variety which is quite popular among consumers, the price difference in Santa Cruz de Tenerife was 52.56%, thus jumping to 4.12 USD in the first week of April 2021. Meanwhile, for the Hybrid-Fuerte variety, the prices were slightly cheaper and increasing by 38.69% YoY between April W1 of 2021 and the same week of 2020. Spain mostly shipped avocados to European countries, with France as the largest buyer which amounted to 188.94M USD.
