Nectarine prices rise again in Spanish and Chinese markets

The price gap of nectarines between 2020 and 2021 in the Spanish market is almost reaching 1 USD, recorded to increase by more than 45% within a year. The price was still volatile around March to May but managed to reach its highest price at the end of April with a value of 6.77 USD. Despite last week showing a downward trend, Spain almost doubled their nectarine price at 2.80 USD in the second week of June 2021. Meanwhile, the price also increasing in the Chinese market, which had only risen high since the beginning of the year. However, prices in the Chinese market are still cheaper than in Spain. China sells nectarine at around 0.61 USD per KG in June 2021.
