Grouper fishermen in Malaysia do not prefer to do wild-caught. This is because due to inclement weather throughout the year, grouper catches are never the same every year and tiring. Due to that, almost 80% of Malaysian grouper is farmed, not wild-caught. By doing that, fishermen are easier to control production every month.
