The big problem for the dairy industry of Ukraine is the considerable delays in payment of delivered products from the side of retail chains. Large retailers pay for imported dairy products within 1-2 days. At the same time, payment for domestic dairy products is made with a delay of up to 30-60 days. In some cases, delays can be up to 90 days. The untimely receipt of funds adversely affects the dairy industry of Ukraine, which consequently reduces its competitiveness.
