Mexican Serrano pepper is facing a shortage in the United States Market due to the cold climate in Sinaloa, commonly produced with an open sky method. In W7, cold weather heavily damaged part of the crops, causing a supply shortage in the Nogales market, pricing at USD 30-34/20 lbs box. For W8 cold weather is forecasted in the area, and the supply shortage will continue.
