The fact that many companies export raw seeds without processing and adding value is often mentioned as among the reasons for the decline of the export income of Ethiopia. That is why Ethiopian sesame exporters are aiming to engage in the production and export processed/value-added sesame from Ethiopia. The Ethiopian government has promised to continue to support such investments, which processes agricultural commodities that contribute to boosting export earnings and job creation.
